Pre-ordering for the May 25th University Commencement Ceremonies is now closed. See Pick Up On Campus section below for walk-in orders beginning on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 in Teagle Hall. All August ’23, December ’23, May ’24 and August ’24 candidates may obtain a Cap & Gown outfit.

Bachelor: $18.80 ORDER by April 18
Master: $44.75 ORDER by April 18
PhD: $100.40 ORDER by April 18
Law: $100.40 ORDER by March 18
Vet: $54.45 ORDER by April 18

Miss the deadline to pre-order? You can still receive a Class Keeper outfit as a “walk-in order” at the pickup location in Teagle Hall from May 21-26, 2024. As a “walk-in order”, the vendor adds $15 to the cost. Refer to the Pick Up section (below) for dates and instructions.

Each cap & gown keepsake order contains a full set of regalia with the pieces, styles, and colors appropriate to the degree being conferred.

Tassel – Tassel color represents one’s conferring college, and may be kept as a souvenir.  In addition to the free detachable tassel, students have an option to purchase a Cornell red & white souvenir tassel, and are welcome to wear both tassels on their caps at graduation.

Hood – A hood is part of graduate degree regalia (no hoods for undergraduate degrees) and represents one’s field of study.  An appropriate hood will be supplied with graduate degree orders.

Cap – All mortar boards and soft tams are one-size-fits-all, so no measuring is necessary when ordering.  The appropriate cap style will be supplied with regalia orders.  Caps may be tastefully decorated and kept as a souvenir.

Gown – The gown style represents the degree being conferred; bachelor, master, vet, law or PhD.  Students only need to know their height when ordering.

Cap & gown distribution takes place on campus the week of commencement. The vendor brings all pre-ordered outfits to distribute, as well as a large supply of regalia available for walk-in orders for those who did not pre-order.

Pick up in Teagle Hall, 1st floor Multipurpose Room on any of these dates:

May 21, 22, 23, 24 10am-6pm (Tues.-Fri.)

May 25 & 26 8am-6pm (Sat. & Sun.)

Pre-Orders

If you pre-ordered online, your pre-packaged outfit will be ready for you to pick up. Show your student ID to receive the outfit you ordered. You may have a friend pick up your outfit for you. Give your friend a copy of your order confirmation email (or send text/email to your friend with your full name, height, college) for your friend to show the vendor that you gave them permission to pick up for you.

Walk-In Orders

If you missed the pre-order deadline, you cannot order at this time. However, go to distribution in Teagle Hall to the “walk-in order” area the week of commencement, to obtain a cap & gown outfit in person. Show your student ID to the vendor, who will assemble an outfit for you at that time. You will need to pay the cost noted below, plus $15.00 late fee, when getting your outfit. Bachelor: $18.80
Master: $44.75
PhD: $100.40
Law: $100.40
Vet: $54.45–>

PhD degree candidates and/or Faculty wishing to purchase their own regalia through Herff Jones must order by April 1st to allow 4 to 6 weeks for delivery. Regalia purchases are personal transactions separate from keepsake options above.
