The senior class president, university president, and invited keynote speaker, address degree candidates and guests at Convocation, the day before graduation, at Schoellkopf Stadium.
This optional event is not a recognition ceremony for graduates, so students choosing to attend will sit in the audience with family and friends, and should not wear cap & gown. For any questions about Convocation, please call 607-255-1242.

|8:00am||Buses begin making loops around campus to transport guests from parking lots to Schoellkopf Stadium (Crescent side).
Stadium gates open at 9am on Saturday.
|9:00am||Arrive on campus to allow time to park (follow signs to parking), then ride a bus to the stadium. Guests with Accessibility Plans should follow specific instructions received with their Plan.
Allow time for safety and security measures at stadium entrances.
|12:00pm||Plan to be in seats by noon. Students sit in the audience with family and do not wear cap & gown at this event. General Seating for Convocation is in Crescent bleachers and chairs on the field (different than Commencement seating).|

Convocation will ONLY be simulcast, ONLY if moved indoors due to severe, unsafe weather, at these locations: Call Auditorium, Bailey Hall and Klarman Auditorium. This will begin at 12:30pm.
General Seating at Schoellkopf is in the Crescent, which is all bleacher-style with stairs and no back support. From the Crescent Lot, guests walk to the concourse underneath the Crescent, then walk through an entryway (portal) that leads into the Crescent bleachers inside the stadium. These entryways are 2/3 of the way up in the Crescent, not near the ground or field level. Guests walk up or down from the portals to find open seating which is first-come, first=served. Earlier arrival is recommended for large groups to find seating together.
Accessibility: Two types of Accessibility Plans are available upon request, and valid both Saturday & Sunday. Guests with Blue Plans enter the Crescent and sit next to portals to reduce their number of stairs. Guests with Yellow Plans enter the stadium from a different location (not the Crescent) and sit on the south end of the field in folding chairs or wheelchairs. Strollers: The Crescent is all bleacher seating, which is not conducive to large strollers. There is no place to use or park a stroller in the Crescent. Smaller umbrella-style strollers are fine since they can be folded and stored on a lap.
Pets are prohibited pets from university-controlled buildings, except for those animals that are specifically exempted by this policy.

No alcohol, glass bottles, or pets allowed at Schoellkopf Stadium.
In good and fair weather, Convocation will take place outside at Schoellkopf Stadium, as planned.
Convocation will move indoors to Barton Hall if weather is deemed unsafe (pouring rain, high winds, lightning, and/or cold temperatures). A decision to enact this Inclement Weather Plan will be announced starting 8:00am Saturday at www.cornell.edu and www.commencement.cornell.edu.
Inclement Weather e-Tickets: If the event moves to Barton Hall, admission will be by e-ticket only. Graduating seniors will be able to reserve up to 2 Convocation Inclement Weather e-Tickets, starting at noon on Wednesday, May 22, on a first-come, first-served basis. Every person entering Barton Hall will need a ticket, including graduates. The event time will remain 12:30-1:30pm (doors open at 11:00am). Students must print e-tickets and bring them to Barton Hall to ensure access. Inclement weather tickets cannot be replaced if lost, nor can we issue more than 2 per graduate, on a first-come, first-served basis.
The event will be simulcast only if event is moved indoors. Locations: Call Auditorium, Bailey Hall, and Klarman Auditorium.
Accessible Entrance to Barton Hall: To avoid stairs, mobility-impaired guests with Inclement Weather e-Tickets (noted above) should enter Barton Hall from the entrance located on the Garden Avenue side of the building. Ushers will be available to assist.
