Severe Weather Plan

Be Prepared for Any Weather Situation
If the forecast calls for light to moderate rain or hot and humid conditions, the ceremonies will be held outside, as planned. Be prepared for any possible weather situation. Plan ahead and bring any accessories that you and your guests may need for the day, such as hats, sunglasses, sunscreen, umbrellas, or rain jackets/light coats.

In Case of Severe Weather
Severe weather, such as heavy rains, high winds, or lightning, could pose a threat to public safety. If severe weather is expected, the university will post information to cornell.edu beginning at 7 a.m. on the day of the ceremony.

Depending on the nature of the weather, the university may delay the start of either of the ceremonies by up to one hour. However, in the event of severe weather, the ceremonies will be cancelled and will not be rescheduled.
