Congratulations to our graduates and proud Cornell families! More than 6,000 candidates for undergraduate, graduate, and professional degrees were recognized throughout Commencement Weekend, May 25-27, 2018.
Families have two celebratory events to attend: the university ceremony and a college ceremony. The university Commencement ceremony is on Sunday morning. Many college events take place Friday through Sunday, so you will need to know your student’s college and department to look up their event’s day and time.
PhD candidates and their families are invited to a special PhD Hooding Ceremony on Saturday.
In addition, many families and students like to attend Convocation on Saturday, if their schedule allows.
The daily schedules below list all events planned for the weekend. Overall, the weekend is done by 4:00pm Sunday, but personal schedules will vary based on college events.
Friday is generally a travel day, when many families arrive in town. A few departments have events planned for Friday, though, so be sure to check your student’s college event schedule when making your travel plans.
