Road Closures

The Commencement Committee wants to inform you of the temporary road closures on Commencement Day, May 24, 2009. Effectively, all roads on central campus are closed due to the tremendous pedestrian traffic.

The specific roads that are closed on Sunday within central campus are listed below. Please plan alternate routes and parking between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

6. Judd Falls Rd from Rt 366 to Tower Rd
7. Tower Rd from Judd Falls to East Ave
8. West Ave southbound

Special Permits on Commencement Day, Sunday, May 24, 2009

Please DO NOT travel through Collegetown to Central Campus. You will be re­routed to West Campus. Please contact the Commencement Office at commencement@cornell.edu or 607-255-9541, for a permit for any caterers or staff that need to make deliveries of equipment and/or materials essential for college activities. Permits will be granted at the discretion of the Commencement Office. Please note that regular campus permits are not valid for the parking garage and other central campus locations because of special arrangements on Commencement Day. The parking garage and Teaching Research Barn lot, on Commencement Day are only accessible with a special Mobility-Impaired (MI) Permit issued by the Commencement Office.
