Central campus will be closed to ALL traffic from 8:00am-4:00pm on Commencement Day ONLY. Buses will be running continuous routes across campus 7:00am-5:00pm from A-Lot, through West Campus, central Campus, and to B-Lot. For access to the Arts Quad early Sunday morning, use the bus and get off at the stop at Goldwin Smith Hall.
Severe Weather Plan (Sunday)
If we enact our Severe Weather Plan on Sunday, the Commencement ceremony will move inside to Barton Hall. In this situation, we regret that faculty are not able to attend due to space limitations. (College Deans will still attend for degree conferrals.) We realize many faculty and, more importantly, many students will be disappointed if faculty are unable to be there for the degree conferrals.
The procession through campus will not take place if we are in severe weather.
You may still use the regalia if your college/department event is on schedule and you need to wear your regalia to that. All faculty are asked to return borrowed regalia to 163 Day hall, between 9:00am and 4:00pm, if under a severe weather schedule.
