The University will hold two outdoor Commencement Ceremonies for the Class of 2026 on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at Schoellkopf Field. Please check back for details regarding Commencement Weekend 2026.


PROGRAM: The 2025 electronic Commencement program containing all of the graduates’ names is posted here. Congratulations, graduates!


College, school and/or department events were held throughout Commencement weekend on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  Review Events & Schedule section for details about livestream videos that were produced for many of the events.  We are updating the specific events during the fall, please check back later in December and January.

December Recognition

December Recognition Ceremony for all December 2025 Graduates
Sunday, December 21, 2025
Barton Hall
10:00 a.m. – noon


Graduates: The event registration is open. Go to this section to register.

If you did not register for the event you may still attend. Plan to come the Barton with your cap and gown by 9:15-9:30 am to lineup with your college.

Graduates, review cap and gown information here. Students do not return cap & gown outfits, they are to keep.

Faculty, review cap and gown details and ceremony information here. Faculty who borrowed outfits from the vendor must return them to Barton Hall by 1 pm on Sunday. Please do not return to the Store.


The weather on Sunday will be very cold and windy. Please be prepared as you arrive at campus parking lots and walk to Barton Hall. The event schedule remains unchanged at this time. It will only be cancelled if Tompkins County roads are closed, which we do not anticipate. Any changes will be noted on this website.


The event will be live-streamed and captioned for those unable to attend. Click here to view on Sunday starting at 10 am EST.  It will be recorded and remain archived for viewing later.
